At ONE on Prime Video 4, Christian Lee produced an incredible comeback victory to become a two-division world champion. After being dominant at lightweight, ‘The Warrior’ has now added the welterweight world title to his shoulder as well.
This also brings the responsibility of defending both world championships against contenders in two weight divisions. Before winning the welterweight world championship, Christian Lee laid out his plan for being a reigning and defending champion. Aiming not to jump between the two weight classes in every fight, this hints at the idea that his next fight may be a defense of his newly acquired title.
In the post-fight interviews, ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong alluded to an upcoming fight that could have major implications for the welterweight division:
“I think you know, we're going to see some fireworks come December 2, Amazon Prime with Roberto Soldic versus Murad Ramazanov…so it'd be very, very fascinating. I think the winner of that, depending on how the fight shapes out, could be fighting for the title against Christian.”

“It's unbelievable” - ONE Championship CEO blown away by Christian Lee’s "incredible display of heart"
Christian Lee put on an unbelievable performance in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 4. In the biggest fight of his career to date, challenging Kiamrian Abbasov for the welterweight world championship, Lee fought tooth and nail to become a double champion. After all the talk about speed vs. size difference, the fight was decided by heart and determination.
In the same post-fight press conference where he predicted Lee’s next opponent, Chatri Sityodtong praised ‘The Warrior’ for his performance:
“I mean, it was that close but what an incredible display of heart and stuff. But yeah, hats off, man. Two-division world champion. It's unbelievable.”
The fight started in the worst possible way for the lightweight world champion, having to weather an absolutely dominant round from Kiamrian Abbasov that left fans amazed that Lee was still in the fight.
After being beaten from pillar to post in the opening round, Abbasov started to tire after throwing everything at Lee to get the finish. Christian Lee recovered and started to put the pressure on the welterweight king, taking over the fight with his cardio.
With 40 seconds left in the fourth round, the referee stopped the bout after Lee landed repeated strikes on the ground.
