Like fans around the world, ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong is impressed with Christian Lee's title-winning performance at ONE on Prime Video 4. However, he has one concern for the newly crowned welterweight champion.

'The Warrior' attained the welterweight belt by ground-and-pounding Kiamrian Abbasov before the referee stepped in to stop the bout in the fourth round.

While impressed with Lee's showing, the ONE CEO noticed an aspect of the double champ's game that could work against him down the line:

"Christian is a true world champion. But you know, whenever you go on and move up a weight, you pack on more muscle. And obviously, muscle burns oxygen, so your cardio is not as good."

Chatri Sityodtong continued in his post-event interview:

"And I think that's what we saw tonight, Christian's cardio wasn't the same as when he was featherweight and lightweight. So it's a big question. I thought Christian also did look particularly strong for welterweight."

Lee may have been slowing down some in the final stages of the fight, but his ability to still achieve a stoppage speaks to his immense heart and will to win.

Chatri Sityodtong praises Christian Lee's greatness

Still a mere 24 years of age, Christian Lee has already had his hand raised 17 times inside the circle. On top of that, 'The Warrior' has already taken part in eight world title fights. His most recent victory earned him a $50,000 performance bonus check.

After Lee's win over Abbasov, the ONE CEO commended the new champion, saying:

“I mean, it was that close but what an incredible display of heart and stuff. But yeah, hats off, man. Two-division world champion. It's unbelievable."

Lee has plenty of possible opponents waiting for their opportunity at either lightweight or welterweight gold. Currently, Lee pegs No.4-ranked lightweight contender Saygid Izagakhmaev as his next challenger.

The Russian talent recently picked up a swift first-round TKO victory over Japanese MMA legend Shinya Aoki at ONE 163.

Check back here for an announcement regarding Christian Lee's next fight, as it will surely be a defense of one of his two world titles.
