UFC fighters, like the rest of us, seemingly can't get enough of the Chiefs vs. Bengals thriller that went down at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday. The Kansas City Chiefs scored a 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals to advance to their third Super Bowl in four years.

However, the match did now go down without controversy as referee Ron Torbert and his crew came under criticism for allegedly biased calls in favor of the Chiefs. UFC fighters also have contrasting opinions with regards to fair play in the Chiefs vs. Bengals classic.

UFC welterweight contender Belal Muhammad blatantly accused the officials of being paid off. 'Remember the Name' wrote:

"These refs are paid off"

However, former UFC lightweight Josh Thomson, who seems to be a die-hard Chiefs fan, disagrees. Responding to Muhammad, Thomson wrote:

"Calm down buddy! #chiefskingdom"

Thomson also rebutted Nelk Boys' Bob Menery, who labeled it as one of the worst displays of officiating in NFL history.

"The @NFL should ashamed how this game had been officiated. One of the worst displays of officiating in the history of the NFL. Makes you wonder."

Thomson responded:

"You shut your whole mouth 👄 Lol #ChiefsKingdom"

NFL rigged was trending after Chiefs vs. Bengals thriller

While the Cincinnati Bengals were on the receiving end of several controversial decisions, a particular defensive holding penalty stood out.

This, combined with a failed third-down play by the Chiefs that didn't count, has many UFC fighters speculating if the NFL is rigged. TUF alum Brendan Schaub wrote:

"I’m not a big conspiracy guy but these Refs def trying to give the game to the #Chiefs ya? Didn’t count a 3rd down. Followed by a holding call. Be a tad less obvious. #AFCChampionshipGame"

According to a Twitter page called Uber Facts, the NFL can legally fix the outcome of games.

However, MMA journalist Amy Kaplan considers the idea absurd and puts it down to bad officials and decisions. Kaplan wrote:

"#NFLRigged is trending Which is stupid."

UFC middleweight Kelvin Gastelum also joined a long list of fighters suspecting foul play in the Chiefs vs. Bengals game.

Rubbing salt on Gastelum's wounds, Derek Brunson responded:

"Stop . 🧂 Ty lol. All call were legit . Great reffing 💯"
