Chingiz Allazov aims to give Superbon different looks in world title showdown

Chingiz Allazov will look to mix things up when he steps into the circle this Friday night for his world title clash with Superbon Singha Mawynn.

After scoring two straight wins in the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix tournament, ‘Chinga’ earned himself an opportunity to capture ONE Championship gold.

Standing in his way will be perhaps the greatest kickboxer in the world today, but Allazov believes his wide array of tools will be enough to get the job done at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video. In an interview with ONE Championship, Chingiz Allazov said:

“Superbon has a universal style. He has many kicks, punches after punches, kicks, you know. Universal style, same with me. They say Chingiz has one style, no. I have many styles and people know this. Maybe I go forward, I got game, I got speed, and after slowing, after that, knock out.”

With more than 100 career victories, Superbon has separated himself from the pack, breaking out as the No.1 pound-for-pound kickboxer in the world following his magnificent Knockout of the Year against Giorgio Petrosyan at ONE: First Strike.

Chingiz Allazov believes his win over Sitthichai is more impressive than a win over Superbon

Chingiz Allazov’s last appearance inside the circle earned him the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Championship, defeating eight-time world champion Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in the process. That win, in Allazov’s opinion, is bigger than anyone Superbon Singha Mawynn has defeated inside the circle thus far.

Allazov believes his win over Sitthichai will hold up better than a potential victory over Superbon himself when the two meet in the ONE Fight Night 6 headliner. In an interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Allazov said:

"This fight with Sitthichai is my career fight. Sitthichai several times won in [the] GLORY [Kickboxing] promotion... He's the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world in kickboxing. He fought and [defeated] Marat Grigorian, he's beaten Superbon, and others, many fighters.

"I said before the fight with Sitthichai [that] for me Sitthichai is better than Grigorian and better than Petrosyan and better than Superbon.”
