Chingiz Allazov believes Rodtang’s showmanship is "good for the people and for the fans"

With fighters like Chingiz Allazov, Superbon, and Rodtang on the docket for this Friday, combat sports fans will get to witness some of the best striking in the game.

Headlining the upcoming card, Chingiz Allazov is ecstatic to be on the receiving end of all that good energy. He'll cap off the night against Superbon Singha Mawynn for the ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship.

Allazov was supportive of fellow striker Rodtang Jitmuangnon fighting on the same card. 'The Iron Man' will be taking on Chinese striker Jiduo Yibu in a kickboxing clash that'll nicely set him up for future title contention in kickboxing as well.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Chingiz Allazov gave his thoughts on Rodtang and his attractive style of fighting:

‘I saw Rodtang dance many times. Oh, come on. It's good, it's good for the people and for the fans. Maybe when he faces someone that is dangerous to him [like me], he won't dance, he would focus. But you saw Rodtang's many fights. He's a very clever fighter, but he'll get down with his gloves and say dance. But after his opponent throws a punch, he'll see it all. Rodtang won’t have a problem fighting his next opponent in Bangkok.’

Rodtang has typically competed in Muay Thai, dominating ONE’s flyweight division in the discipline as its undefeated world champion. He’s ventured into kickboxing only once in ONE Championship, winning a unanimous decision over Tagir Khalilov in 2021.

Chingiz Allazov focused “one hundred percent on Superbon”

The ONE featherweight kickboxing world Grand Prix winner, Chingiz Allazov, has only one thing on his mind this week: taking out the world champion Superbon.

The main event fight at ONE Fight Night 6 has been on the table for many months, but the Belarusian hasn't been dreaming too much in his spare time in the build-up.

In the same interview with ONE Championship, Chingiz Allazov said:

“I thank many people. Thank you, guys...those who say they support me and think I will win [this Friday], I don't know what my plan is [after the fight]. Now I'm 100 percent concentrated on Superbon, real concentration. I don't like to say after I fight this guy [Superbon], I will fight this guy and that guy. After the fight, I'll say, okay, it's no problem. Before the fight, my concentration only stays on this fight.”

If Allazov is able to triumph over Superbon, he’ll do what no other man has done in the ONE circle, i.e., defeat Superbon.

ONE Fight Night 6 goes down Friday, January 13, in the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. The fight airs on Amazon Prime for North American subscribers in US prime time.
