New ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Chingiz Allazov believes that his mindset was the difference in his world title fight.
At ONE Fight Night 6, ‘Chinga’ produced the best performance of his career to stop Superbon Singha Mawynn in the second round.
Claiming the No.1 pound-for-pound spot in the process, it was an absolutely devastating performance from the challenger that sent the Impact Arena in Bangkok into pandemonium.
After winning the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix at ONE X last march, Chingiz Allazov had been preparing to face Superbon for almost an entire year.

Despite the fight being scheduled and postponed several times, ‘Chinga’ remained focused on the task at hand, which he believes that it gave him an edge going into this fight.
“We fought Superbon after I took one or two years to focus 100 percent. Everyday I trained, with my mind only focused on the fight. For me, my opponent is not a problem. I always train hard for every fight. But mentally [for this fight], I was 100 percent, and [that’s why] I won.”

It’s hard to argue with the new champion given the nature of his performance. Showing incredible focus, the challenger put pressure on Superbon as soon as the first bell sounded, walking him down and eventually finding a home for his ferocious punching power.
ONE Championship asks who could be next for Chingiz Allazov and fans respond
With his performance at ONE Fight Night 6, Chingiz Allazov got fans thinking about what could be next for the ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion.
In last Friday’s main event in Bangkok, Thailand, Allazov stunned the world with his TKO upset against former defending world champion Superbon Singha Mawynn.
With the crowning of the new world champion, ONE Championship stoked the hype flames by asking the fans who he should face next after beating the pound-for-pound No.1. With the likes of Marat Grigorian, Tawanchai PK.Saenchai, Jamal Yusupov and Regian Eersel are all in contention, ONE asked fans on Instagram who they want to see standing across from Allazov inside the circle.
Here’s what they had to say:
“I wanna see him vs Marat”
“Tawanchai vs Chingiz. Total clash of styles 🔥”
“Petrosyan pt.2.”
“Marat, Petro, or Sittichai rematches”
“Regian Eersel will be the one! 💯🔥”
Following his dominant performance against Superbon, it’s fair to say that Chingiz Allazov will have a big target on his back. The 29-year-old was scheduled to face Marat Grigorian in a rematch during the ONE Featherweight World Grand Prix but the fight was canceled.
With the opportunity to get his revenge on Grigorian, this is a great option. Although it seems that Allazov has his eyes set on two-sport world champion Regian Eersel.
