Chingiz Allazov says he will capitalize on a single mistake from Superbon

At ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video, Chingiz Allazov will challenge Superbon for the ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship.

After winning the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix final at ONE X, Allazov has been set on a collision course with the world champion.

Defeating Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in March, ‘Chinga’ and the fans have had to wait for his showdown with Superbon.

Originally scheduled for ONE on Prime Video 2, this match-up right at the top of the pound-for-pound tree has been canceled several times, which has built the hype for it even more.

As he attempts to dethrone Superbon from the top of the division and pound-for-pound No.1 status, Chingiz Allazov believes that he will win the fight thanks to his preparation.

In an interview with ONE Championship, he said:

“I say, this is a battle of game plans – who has a good game plan, who has a good mentality, and who has real freedom. Who wins in this fight? I don't know, but I know in my head, I'm in this fight and I'm focused 100 percent on the process. As I said before, if he makes mistakes it could be a problem.”

“They don't have concentration” - Chingiz Allazov talks about the one quality Thai fighters lack

Belarusian kickboxer Chingiz Allazov is a fan of the Thai fighters' style but he sees a big flaw in their overall ability. As he prepares for his world title fight this weekend, he believes he can exploit their lack of concentration.

‘Chinga’ vies for the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title when he takes on reigning world champion Superbon Singha Mawynn in the headlining fight at ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13 (US primetime) in Bangkok, Thailand.

The event is the first show for ONE Championship in 2023 and is live and free for North American fans with an active Prime Video subscription.

Speaking to ONE Championship, the 29-year-old said that while he admires the power of Thai fighters, he believes that they have a tendency to veer away from the task at hand, something he can use to his advantage when he faces Superbon in front of the champion's home fans:

“As I said before, I like the Thai style. I spoke to Sitthichai [Sitsongpeenong], another fighter from Thailand. They have power but they don't have concentration, unlike me.”

If either fighter loses focus at any point, both Allazov and Superbon have the skill to change the course of the fight in an instant.

With a record of 3-1 in ONE Championship, Chingiz Allazov will finally get his shot at Superbon after winning the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix in March.
