Chingiz Allazov sends a message to his fans in Japan

ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Chingiz Allazov sent a heartfelt message to his Japanese fans after his historic victory at ONE Fight Night 6.

Earlier this month, the Azerbaijani-Belarusian phenom stunned fans and pundits alike by dethroning the No. 1 pound-for-pound kickboxer in the world, Superbon Singha Mawynn.

In a celebratory mood, 'Chinga' thanked all his fans around the globe for their constant shows of support over the years. He also sent a personal message to his followers in Japan.

At the post-fight interview, ‘Chinga’ said to the cameras:

“Yeah, I love Japan. Thank you very much to the Japanese people. I know I have many fans, I know they support me. I stayed in Japan twice and I like this country. I like Tokyo. I like walking in Tokyo. Thank you guys for supporting me and Inshallah, we will see each other in Tokyo. Arigato.”

During his K-1 tenure, ‘Chinga’ participated in an 8-man K-1 Super Welterweight World Grand Prix Tournament in Tokyo. He pummeled his way through three elite contestants, winning two by stoppage and one by decision, before capturing the vacant belt in June 2017.

Allazov would go on to defend his belt multiple times in Japan before vacating the world title in February 2019. Chingiz Allazov would later find himself competing on the global stage of ONE Championship in 2021.

Fans from countries around the world celebrated Allazov’s victory with enormous satisfaction. Having witnessed his historic rise to the top at the ONE featherweight kickboxing world grand prix, all the fans agreed he was most deserving of his victory.
