Chingiz Allazov took out Superbon Singha Mawynn with authority last weekend, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t wonder what it would take to get him out of there.
The fight quickly trended towards a big finish for Allazov. Even so, Superbon kept getting back up. In many similar situations, over-zealous fighters will burn out their strength trying to finish their opponent who refuses to be defeated.
Chingiz Allazov credits his focus as the reason he was able to keep pressing until the finish. In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, he gave a look into his thought process throughout the fight:
"The first knockdown he got up. I’d say he had good focus. After that, I said I won’t stop. I’ll go forward and beat him. In the second knockdown and third knockdown it was the same situation."

The first two knockdowns left Superbon damaged but able to fight. The third was a clean knockout for Chingiz Allazov, who clocked him with an overhand right.
With the win, Allazov has won four straight for ONE Championship, winning three by knockout. It’s hard to think of a challenger who will give Chingiz a run for his money given the savage nature of his win over Superbon, who is one of the best strikers in the world.
Chingiz Allazov credits Tiger Muay Thai for their support in big ONE Fight Night 6 win
For much of his fight preparation for the Superbon fight, Chingiz Allazov traveled far from his home in Belarus to train closer to the fight. He set up shop in Phuket, Thailand, perhaps the mecca of MMA training in Asia with several massive MMA and Muay Thai gyms in the area.
In an interview with SCMP MMA, Chingiz Allazov gave credit to Tiger Muay Thai and Phuket Fight Club for their hospitality:
"Yes, I say thank you very much Tiger Muay Thai. They supported me and my team. But I train all the time with my coach, Andrei Gridin. Tiger Muay Thai gave me the place and Phuket Fight Club. I love the Thai atmosphere. The boss at Tiger Muay Thai said that if I win the belt, he will put a big picture [of me] in Tiger Muay Thai. He stayed in the arena, and I saw him. So we will see if he puts my picture with the belt."
Tiger Muay Thai also regularly hosts ONE world champions Anatoly Malykhin and Tang Kai as well as UFC greats Petr Yan and Valentina Shevchenko.
It was no doubt helpful for Chingiz Allazov to not only settle into living in Thailand, but also getting time to spar with other high-level Muay Thai strikers to prepare for Superbon.
