Chris Curtis recently revealed a hostile event involving Sean Strickland and a hipster in Florida, all over not wearing a mask during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Strickland and Curtis train together at Xtreme Couture's flagship gym in Las Vegas. The event transpired during one of Curtis' fight preparations during the pandemic when the pair were in a grocery store to get water for rehydration.

Detailing the episode in a recent interview with Helen Yee, Curtis said:

"He almost killed a hipster in Florida at a grocery store. It was during one of my fights. It was three hours before weigh-ins, so we're going to the grocery store to get water and s**t for the rehydration. I'm dying, mind you guys, I'm fighting at [170 pounds]. We're in a store and this is during COVID. Sean gets into an argument with a hipster about COVID because Sean's not wearing a mask. The guy's like, 'My grandma, my dad died of COVID.' And Sean's like, 'F**k your father.'"

Further narrating the incident, Curtis added that the aggressor saw Strickland's ears and challenged him to step outside the store to fight. Curtis warned the hipster and told him that he was in no capacity to de-escalate the situation since he was exhausted from cutting weight.

Sean Strickland reacts to Alex Pereira defeating Israel Adesanya at UFC 281

Sean Strickland was thoroughly impressed by Alex Pereira's performance against rival Israel Adesanya at UFC 281.

The American fought Pereira at UFC 276 and succumbed to a devastating knockout loss. Although he's had first-hand experience of the famed power of 'Poatan', Strickland did not expect the Brazilian to knock out Israel Adesanya.

Speaking about the fight in a recent interview with 'The Schmo', Sean Strickland stated:

“He’s a f**king badass big motherf**king Brazilian and he touches you and you go to sleep, it’s the weirdest f**king thing. But I was not expecting that. I was a little surprised. I thought ‘Izzy’ was gonna be a twinkle toes and f**king dance around and outpoint him, but f**king hats off to you, Alex. You f**king big a** f**king scary Brazilian."
