Chris Curtis vs. Kevin Holland middleweight fight agreed for UFC 307, per 'Action Man's' management agency

Chris Curtis last entered the octagon in April, when he suffered a Grade 3 hamstring tear in the fifth round of his controversial split decision loss to Brendan Allen in the main event of UFC Fight Night 240. The No.15-ranked middleweight is set to make his return in October when he faces Kevin Holland at UFC 307.

'Action Man's management agency, Iridium Sports Agency, broke the news of the bout on Monday, tweeting:

"🚨 #TeamIridium News 🚨 Our man @Actionman513 steps into the Octagon for the 10th time vs. Kevin Holland on Oct. 5 ✍🏻 #TheDarkside"

The bout will mark each fighter's third trip to the octagon in 2024. Curtis defeated Marc-Andre Barriault via split decision at UFC 297 before suffering a split decision loss to Brendan Allen at UFC Fight Night 240. Holland, who is the No.15-ranked welterweight, suffered a unanimous decision loss to Michael 'Venom' Page at UFC 299, however, he bounced back with a first-round submission victory over Michał Oleksiejczuk in his return to middleweight at UFC 302.

'Action Man' holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 31 wins, 11 losses, and one no-contest. He has 17 knockout victories, one submission victory, and 13 decision victories. The No.15-ranked middleweight has been knocked out once, submitted once, and lost nine bouts via decision. He is 5-3 (1) since making his UFC debut in November 2021.

Meanwhile, 'Trailblazer' has 26 wins, 11 losses, and one no-contest in his MMA career. He has won 14 bouts via knockout, eight bouts via submission, and four bouts via decision. The No.15-ranked welterweight has one loss via knockout, three losses via submission, and seven losses via decision. Holland is 13-8 (1) since making his promotional debut in August 2018.

Chris Curtis was expected to be sidelined for at least six months after suffering a Grade 3 hamstring tear during his split decision loss to Brendan Allen at UFC Fight Night 240. The No.15-ranked middleweight reacted to the announcement of his UFC 307 clash with Kevin Holland by pointing out that he will return in less time than projected.

'Action Man' took to X on Monday, tweeting:

"Told you guys I wasn't going to let myself be out for six months."

Curtis' return to the octagon will come one day before the six-month mark of his last bout when he suffered the injury. He will look to bounce back and defend his spot in the middleweight rankings at UFC 307.
