Chris Eubank Jr. has made it clear that he is being overly generous towards Conor Benn as they negotiate a deal for a fight in 2025. The pair were scheduled to fight in October 2022, but several days before their clash, Benn failed a drug test for clomifene.
Their scheduled bout was canceled, and despite several attempts to re-book the fight, the pair have yet to meet in the squared circle. But Eubank Jr. and Benn's team are currently trying to iron out a deal that both boxers find agreeable.
'NextGen' is adamant that he is the 'A side' of the negotiations, and has thus offered his potential opponent a 45% cut of the fight purse, with Eubank Jr. receiving 55%.
However, 'The Destroyer' is less than pleased with his potential opponent's offer, and wants a 50/50 split.

During a recent interview with Boxing Social, the IBO champion said:
"I'm asking for a lot less than I should be. Giving [Benn] 45% is a gift. He should be calling me Father Christmas, for the generosity that offer is. If they don't want to see or understand that, well the fight won't happen."
He continued:
"When you fail a drug test you don't get 50/50 split... You don't get a 50/50 split if you fail a drug test."
