“I’m a different fighter” - Christian Lee says Kiamrian Abbasov has yet to face a challenger of his caliber

Christian Lee is certain that Kiamrian Abbasov hasn’t met a challenger of his skill and caliber yet.

The ONE lightweight world champion was one of the youngest athletes to sign under ONE Championship at 17 years-old, competing against the toughest featherweights and lightweights in his division.

As the years progressed, Lee has only gotten better and better, demonstrating that he adapts well under pressure and under different circumstances.

Moving up a weight class to challenge ONE welterweight king, Kiamrian Abbasov for two-division gold, Lee believes he’s got the skill and mental toughness to take him on at full speed.

In the ONE on Prime Video 4 promo released only hours ago, Christian Lee warned the king:

“I’m a different fighter than anyone he’s faced so far. I’m looking to expose his weaknesses and try to find a hole in his game that no one else has yet.”

Kiamrian Abbasov plans to take Christian Lee into deep waters

Ahead of their world title clash, Kiamrian Abbasov believes Christian Lee is in way over his head.

Looking at the numbers, ‘Brazen’ has proven time and again that he’s a difficult opponent to deal with. Under ONE Championship alone, Abbasov is riding a four-fight win streak, beating big names like Zebaztian Kadestam and Yushin Okami in the last few years.

The Krygyzstani fighter recently competed for double gold against the ONE middleweight world champion, Reinier de Ridder, at ONE Full Circle.

Losing in his endeavors by a third-round submission, Abbasov knows first-hand how difficult it is to defeat an opponent in a heavier weight class. Taking his entire experience into account, Abbasov knows for certain Lee will have trouble adapting to the new weight class and dealing with the pressure.

The 29-year-old star told ONE Championship:

“Christian is a good opponent. He is a good, explosive fighter, but I know his weaknesses and I am not a guy from his division – the rules are different here.”
