Christian Lee had no other outcome in his mind than winning, and he revealed his growing family is a huge reason for that.
At ONE on Prime Video 4, ‘The Warrior’ pulled off a monumental comeback to claim the ONE welterweight world title at the expense of former titleholder Kiamrian Abbasov. The feat crowned Lee as the latest two-division world champion in ONE Championship.
The Singaporean-American looked dead in the water in the first round, but he somehow managed to survive the onslaught brought by ‘Brazen’. As their fight went on, Lee found his second wind and proceeded to take over the fight, ultimately ending the bout in the fourth round.
During his interview inside the cage with Mitch Chilson right after his match, Christian Lee revealed to the world that he had another baby on the way, which helped gave him an added motivation to try and get that win. Lee was asked about this during the post-event interview, to which he responded by saying:

“To me, it's added motivation. There was already enough pressure and enough motivation, fighting to provide for my one daughter, and now with another baby on the way I got to do my job. As a dad, I got to provide for my family. So losing was not an option.”

Christian Lee will be facing monsters in both lightweight and welterweight
With Christian Lee’s incredible win to claim a world title in a second weight class, he now carries the burden of defending two thrones. Lee said he is more than willing to defend both belts moving forward. The 24-year-old said this during the post-fight interviews:
“For me, I feel that I'm competitive in both divisions, and I plan on doing so for the next few fights.”
He will have plenty of monsters waiting to challenge him for both straps.
At lightweight, Saygid Izagakhmaev made a statement by beating former ONE lightweight world champion Shinya Aoki quicker than Lee did when they meet in 2019.
Meanwhile, Halil Amir made a memorable debut, knocking out a dangerous veteran in Timofey Nastyukhin to claim the No. 3 spot in the rankings. Of course, there’s No. 2-ranked Dagi Arslanaliev, who will no doubt stake his claim on a world title opportunity.
Over at welterweight, former titleholder Zebaztian Kadestam looks like he has returned to form, scoring back-to-back first-round knockouts. Meanwhile, promotional newcomer and one of the hottest free agent signings of the year, Roberto Soldic, will make his debut against the undefeated Murad Ramazanov in December at ONE on Prime Video 5, with the winner potentially challenging for the world title.
If there's one thing that's certain, Christian Lee's next fight will undoubtedly be against a monster in the circle.
