ONE's lightweight king Christian Lee will be paying close attention to ONE Championship 163 as two of the division's top contenders will be facing off.
No. 4-ranked Saygid Izagakhmaev is scheduled to take on No. 5-ranked Shinya Aoki in a marquee lightweight bout. The former is making just his third ONE appearance, while the latter is a former champion and seasoned veteran.
Knowing this, Christian Lee believes this will serve as Izagakhmaev's first real test inside the circle. In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Lee said:
"I think Saygid is a good wrestler, he’s definitely got great wrestling and he had two good wins in ONE Championship so far. I think that his fight against Shinya is going to be his first real test."

Russia's Izagakhmaev is 2-0 since joining ONE earlier in 2022, picking up wins over James Nakashima and Lipeng Zhang. Meanwhile, Japan's Aoki has amassed a record of 13-2 in ONE, having won four of his last five bouts.
Christian Lee can add to legacy at ONE on Prime Video 4
Christian Lee is arguably the greatest athlete in ONE Championship's illustrious history. He can add to his already astounding legacy by securing double-champ status at ONE on Prime Video 4.
'The Warrior' is scheduled to take on welterweight champion Kiamrian Abbasov in the event's headliner. Of note, this comes less than three months after regaining lightweight gold in emphatic fashion against Ok Rae Yoon.
This type of opportunity doesn't come along too often, making it impossible for Lee to pass up. In an exclusive interview with ONE, he said:
“Well, initially, after claiming my title back, it sounded really nice to take some time off. But an opportunity like this is really just too big of a moment to let it just pass me by. And fighting for a second world title, and a second weight division has always been a dream of mine since I started this sport.”
Be sure to watch Christian Lee gunning for the welterweight strap against Kiamrian Abbasov at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18, live from Singapore Indoor Stadium.
