Christian Lee believes his fourth-round knockout of Kiamrian Abbasov at ONE on Prime Video 4 was the highlight of his mixed martial arts career.
Despite having an already legendary career as a four-time ONE lightweight world champion and the most prolific finisher in promotional history, we are inclined to agree with Lee’s assessment of his performance last Friday night.
The victory not only helped establish Christian Lee as a two-division world champion, but it also showed that he is undoubtedly one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Discussing the victory at the ONE on Prime Video 4 post-fight press conference, ‘The Warrior’ said:
“It's an amazing feeling. Definitely the highlight of my career. This fight was my biggest fight yet. And I'm very happy that I was able to get the job done and get a finish in the fourth round.”

Things didn’t look so good for Christian Lee in the opening round on Friday night. Overwhelmed by the power of Kiamrian Abbasov, Lee nearly found himself on the wrong side of a first-round finish. That’s when heart and skill took over, allowing Lee to weather the storm and crawl his way back into the fight before securing a jaw-dropping fourth-round TKO to capture welterweight gold.
Christian Lee ready for a potential showdown with Roberto Soldic
With his massive world title win at ONE on Prime Video 4, Christian Lee is looking for his first challenger in the welterweight division. That will likely be decided by the ONE on Prime Video 5 clash between ONE newcomer Roberto Soldic and undefeated Russian standout Murad Ramazanov.
Soldic announced that he had signed with ONE Championship in August. Almost four months later, he’ll make his highly-anticipated debut, and it’ll be far from a favorable matchup. Even so, Soldic enters the bout as the odds-on favorite. Should the former two-division KSW champion secure a win in his promotional debut, he’ll likely have ONE’s latest two-division champion waiting for him. On fighting Soldic, Lee said:
“That’s definitely a fight that's going to be on my radar [Soldic vs. Ramazanov]. Roberto, I know there's been a lot of talk about him. A lot of hype coming from behind him. So I think that if he wins, and he gets a good finish over Ramazanov, he's definitely next in line.”
