Christian Lee understands the responsibility that comes with becoming a double champion.
At ONE on Prime Video 4, the lightweight champion defeated Kiamrian Abbasov to claim his welterweight title.
After an incredible performance against Abbasov, the question immediately became about who Lee will face next and whether he will stay at welterweight or return to lightweight.
With clear contenders in each division who are waiting for Lee to put his world title on the line, ‘The Warrior’ has plenty of options on his hands as he looks to keep hold of both championships.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Lee said:
“Right now, I feel like it’s really clear that the next opponents in front of me, I think that out of everybody the three people I’m looking forward to fighting would be Saygid, Ramazanov, and Soldic. Right now, I think those are the three top guys within the two divisions, and I’m looking forward to facing one of them. It doesn’t matter who first.”
After Roberto Soldic’s ONE debut against Marad Ramazanov ended in a no contest due to a foul that the Croatian couldn’t recover from, it would appear more likely that they will face each other again in a rematch.
This potentially leaves Lee with the option to return to lightweight to face Saygid Izagakhmaev, who is 3-0 since joining ONE Championship at the start of 2022.
Christian Lee excited for ONE Championship’s first live event in the U.S.
Christian Lee is excited to see ONE Championship heading to the United States for the very first time in spring 2023.
The promotion recently announced its debut event on U.S. soil, which is set to be a huge event. Scheduled for the 1stBank Center in Colorado, ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video will be headlined by the trilogy fight between reigning ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson and former titleholder Adriano Moraes.
With a main event befitting of this huge occasion, Christian Lee spoke about his own excitement surrounding the promotion’s North American debut in an interview with ONE Championship:
“It’s exciting. I’m so glad that ONE Championship is finally coming to the U.S. They’ve been doing so great, completely dominating in Asia. And now with the Amazon Prime deal touching down in the U.S., I think that it’s a big time for ONE Championship.”
After defeating Kiamrian Abbasov at ONE on Prime Video 4, the newly crowned double champion is awaiting his first title defense. Having reclaimed his lightweight title, Christian Lee became the welterweight champion just three months on from his victory over Ok Rae Yoon.
With two world titles to defend, perhaps we could see ‘The Warrior’ step back into the circle when the promotion heads to the U.S. this spring.
