ONE double-champ Christian Lee further etched himself into the history books by securing his second world title at ONE on Prime Video 4. He now plans on retaining and defending both his lightweight and welterweight belts.
Being a simultaneous two-division champ makes life twice as hard for the fighter in that position. They have twice as many contenders gunning for their throne and must keep a hectically busy schedule to avoid being stripped of a belt.
Christian Lee is well aware of the notion, but he's prepared for the challenge. He spoke to ONE Championship about his plans in an exclusive interview, saying:
"The order that I’m going to defend my belts, I feel is gonna be very important because I plan to defend the belt at lightweight first."

'The Warrior' continued, adding:
"Right now I need to prepare, I need to work my weight down to the lightweight division, but it’s still very doable. I feel that when I prepare to defend my belt at the welterweight division, it’s gonna be different."
In recent weeks, Lee has listed No.3-ranked lightweight Saygid Izagakhmaev as a viable next challenger to his throne. Izagakhmaev is a perfect 3-0 inside the circle, with his most recent coming by way of TKO over Shinya Aoki.
Christian Lee explains what it's like being double-champ
The 24-year-old phenom is already accomplishing incredible feats in his career—the best of which is becoming a double champion. Lee recently told the promotion how it feels to be a two-division champ:
"It feels great to be a two-division champion. My goal was always to win a world title, defend the belt, and then claim a second world title. I’ve done all of those things so far, and it feels so great to be pretty early in my career in the fight game and still be able to accomplish all of those achievements.”
'The Warrior' awed audiences around the world by finishing former welterweight king Kiamrian Abbasov in the fourth round of their title bout. Lee continues to exceed the lofty expectations placed upon him.
