Two-division champ Christian Lee is eager to see ONE Championship's top American talent take center stage when the promotion heads to the United States for ONE on Prime Video 10.
On May 5, 2023, ONE Championship will hold its first-ever event on American soil—and it's headlined by one of the most anticipated fights in organizational history.
Flyweight king Demetrious Johnson will face former divisional champ Adriano Moraes in a rubber match for the ages. Meanwhile, several other American fighters are yearning for a spot on the historic card.
'The Warrior' recently conducted an interview with the promotion where he spoke about stacking the card with American fighters. He told ONE:

“It could only make sense to put the U.S. fighters on that card, the first time they’re touching ground in the U.S. They have a lot of guys on the roster, so of course DJ’s a big one. He’s going to be headlining the event."
Christian Lee continued, adding:
“You know, just anyone flying the U.S. flag would be smart to put on that card.”
Christian Lee believes Saygid Izagakhmaev is next in line
Lee recently further etched himself into ONE's history books by defeating then-welterweight champ Kiamrian Abbasov to attain the welterweight world title. The current double-champ will likely defend his lightweight belt in his next outing.
As for who's next in line, the 24-year-old star listed one lightweight top contender in particular. He told SCMP MMA:
“I think that it’s most likely against one of the two new contenders. I think the match between Saygid and Shinya is going to be an important fight. I think if Saygid is able to win that match, I think he’s next in line for the world title.”
No. 3 ranked Izagakhmaev defeated Shinya Aoki at ONE 163 to earn his third straight win in as many tries. He earned a title shot in Lee's eyes, but was it enough from the promotion's viewpoint? We'll soon find out.
