Christian Lee was highly entertained by the fireworks display between Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker at ONE on Prime Video 3 last week. However, the controversial ending of the fight left ‘The Warrior’ perplexed about the future of the now vacant ONE bantamweight world title.
The action-packed war was ruled a no contest after ‘Wonder Boy’ inadvertently hit Lineker with a knee to the groin during the fight-ending sequence in the third round. This left Lineker with a broken cup and unfit to continue.
In a recent interview with The MMA Super-Fan, Christian Lee offered his two cents on the current uncertainty in the 145-pound ranks. As the Singaporean-American superstar saw it, Andrade was winning that fight convincingly up until that unfortunate foul.
For that reason, Lee believes that the Tiger Muay Thai product should get first dibs on an immediate world title shot, regardless of whether it’s against Lineker or not. Lee explained:

“If they want to do a rematch for the belt, that would be great. But, if they’re gonna put the vacant belt up for somebody else, I definitely think that he should be the one fighting for it because he definitely showed that he was the best bantamweight in the division that night.”

Andrade, for his part, has already expressed his desire to fight for the vacant bantamweight throne against other worthy contenders in the division. ‘Wonder Boy’ cited that he was picking Lineker apart – particularly in that third round – and was on the verge of handing him the first knockout loss of his career.
Plus, he believes ‘Hands of Stone’ is unworthy of an immediate title shot after he was stripped of the belt for missing weight.
Nonetheless, if the promotion decides to run it back between the two, Andrade wouldn’t mind exchanging fists with Lineker again to prove that he is the better fighter.
Christian Lee will chase two-division supremacy vs. Kiamrian Abbasov
Lee has always been mindful of his fellow world champions in other divisions, especially now that he’s targeting to rule a second one.
On November 19, at Singapore Indoor Stadium, ‘The Warrior’ will look to strap both the ONE lightweight and welterweight world titles on his broad shoulders in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 4.
The United MMA and Evolve MMA star will be seeking to dethrone the bigger Kiamrian Abbasov in five rounds of unadulterated MMA action.
At just 24 years old, Christian Lee is getting scarier by the day. The total destruction he brought upon former tormenter OK Rae Yoon last August proves that Lee is ready for bigger things.
