On November 18, Christian Lee will attempt to do what his older sister Angela Lee could not: become a two-division world champion. As the reigning ONE lightweight world champion, ‘The Warrior’ will take on welterweight titleholder Kiamrian Abbasov in the ONE on Prime Video 4 main event.
Exhibiting a great deal of confidence ahead of his dual-title bid later this month, Christian Lee is already looking ahead to his first welterweight world title defense which could come against the promotion’s blockbuster summer signee, Roberto Soldic.
In an interview with ONE Championship, ‘The Warrior’ believes a big matchup with Soldic awaits, assuming all the pieces fall into place:
“Roberto, he’s been a big name that ONE Championship just recently signed. I know there’s been a lot of talk about him. A lot of hype coming from behind him. So I think that if he wins, and he gets a good finish over Ramazanov, he’s definitely next in line.”

Before Soldic can eye a welterweight world title opportunity, he first needs to take care of the dangerous and undefeated Russian Murad Ramazanov.
Holding a record of three wins and no losses in the promotion and a 11-0 overall record, Ramazanov will be a tough first outing for Soldic inside the circle. The fight is sure to produce fireworks when the two square off this December, just weeks after Christian Lee is scheduled to fight for the welterweight crown.
Despite recent focus on welterweight title, Christian Lee is not taking his eyes off the lightweight division
While Christian Lee is focused on becoming a two-division world champion at ONE on Prime Video 4, ‘The Warrior’ is by no means taking his eyes off the lightweight division where he currently reigns supreme.
Speaking to The MMA Super Fan, Lee recently shared his thoughts on up-and-coming contender Halil Amir, who put on an impressive performance in his ONE debut against Timofey Nastyukhin:
“He came in very strong by finishing Timofey, who’s one of the best in the division and he’s proven it. I think next we’ll see who his next test would be, which could be another guy in the top five. We’ll see. I’m looking forward to seeing who he faces next.”
With a second-round knockout of Nastyukhin, the Turkish standout improved his record to 8-0. He now occupies the third spot in the ONE lightweight rankings. With one or two more victories inside the circle, Amir could find himself within earshot of a lightweight title opportunity.
