Reigning ONE lightweight world champion Christian Lee made it clear that he won’t be bullied by the supposedly bigger Kiamrian Abbasov in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 4.
‘The Warrior’ is on the verge of two-division supremacy if he dethrones the ONE welterweight world champion this Friday, November 18, inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The high-stakes affair will be available live on US Primetime for North American fans and is absolutely free to watch for Amazon Prime Video subscribers.
Lee, who began his MMA career as a lanky teenager in the featherweight ranks, has developed into an absolute killer and has wreaked havoc both there and in the 170-pound lightweight division.

Aside from his world-renowned versatile skillset, his body has also matured and filled up nicely over the years, allowing him to go up another weight class. However, several pundits are still doubting his chances against Abbasov, who has ruled over the 185-pound division with an iron fist.
Plus, many believe the Kyrgyzstani-Russian’s smothering wrestling-heavy attacks would spell disaster for the Singaporean-American challenger. In a recent guest appearance on the MMA Superfan, Lee said that being the smaller man against Abbasov still does not faze him:
“The weight kind of came on naturally for me. I’m not sure who’s going to be the bigger man between me and [Kiamrian] Abbasov, but that’s the last thing I’m going to be worried about.”
Apart from Lee being must-see TV, ONE fans adore him for his eagerness to fight anyone at any given time.
The United MMA and Evolve MMA superstar has won seven of his last eight fights inside the Circle, and is coming off a vengeful win against Ok Rae Yoon to reclaim his lightweight throne.

Christian Lee analyzes Kiamrian Abbasov’s loss to Reinier de Ridder
As far as Christian Lee is concerned, skill trumps weight every single time.
For instance, he cited Kiamrian Abbasov’s attempt to conquer a second weight class against ONE middleweight world champion Reinier de Ridder earlier this year.
The roles were reversed at ONE: Full Circle, when ‘Brazen’ was the one who stepped up a weight class to challenge the two-division world champion.
‘The Dutch Knight’ ended up dominating Abbasov for the entire match and submitted him with an arm-triangle choke in round 3. While de Ridder obviously had the size advantage, Christian Lee argues that he was simply the superior fighter overall.
According to Lee, the double champ would have won the fight regardless of the weight class. ‘The Warrior’ explained in an interview on MMA Junkie Podcast:
“I think that even if [Reinier] de Ridder was to fight [Kiamrian] Abbasov at welterweight if he was able to make that weight limit, I think that he would have still won the fight. So then it comes down to just being a better fighter on that given night and having a better strategy. So de Ridder just closed the distance, he was able to take him down and out-grapple him in every round until he got the finish.”
