ONE lightweight world champion 'The Warrior' Christian Lee will be going up in weight to challenge for the welterweight throne headlining ONE on Prime Video 4. Standing in his way will be the welterweight king 'Brazen' Kiamrian Abbasov.
Despite going up a weight class, the Singaporean-American fighter believes the weight difference will not make for a significant factor. While speaking with MMA Junkie Podcast, Lee explained:
“I think the key to this fight for me is going to be prepared. It's not going to come down to who's heavier or lighter there.”
'The Warrior' believes he will be better prepared for battle in the ONE circle on November 18. Additionally, he has also been adding on weight in a safe manner. In an interview with ONE, Christian Lee explained:

“I took some time to put on extra weight so that when I did step up the training, and when I did start doing my cardio, I would be able to be in the same shape I was fighting for the lightweight title as I’m going to be for the welterweight title.”
The two world champions have been booked for their showdown for the welterweight crown on ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18. All the action will be broadcast live and for free on Amazon's streaming platform for all its North American subscribers.
Christian Lee is not focused on size
Since making his professional MMA debut in 2015, 'The Warrior' Christian Lee has been getting bigger and changing weight classes. While speaking in an interview with ONE Championship, he explained his philosophy on these movements. He said:
“But moving up to welterweight, I’m just going to take the same approach that I did, when I moved up from featherweight to lightweight. I’m not focused on my size, I’m not focused on how big or small I’m going to be in that division."
If he is successful in becoming a two-division world champion, he will look to fill out his frame even more. Christian Lee continued:
“I’m just going to go in there in the best shape possible, and take a shot at the title. And then when I claim the title, that’s when I take the time to fully make the switch and adjust my weight and adjust my training to be comfortable fighting at 185.”
At ONE on Prime Video 4, Lee will go to war to try and become a two-sport world champion. Russia's 'Brazen' plans to defend his welterweight throne against the lightweight challenger on November 18.
