Undefeated Cameroonian-French super middleweight boxer Christian Mbilli will return to action this weekend as he faces highly-ranked Sergiy Derevyanchenko. The main event bout, promoted by Top Rank Boxing, will not be a title fight but may have serious implications for both boxers' world title trajectory.
Mbilli's last bout was a first-round KO of Mark Heffron last May, which allowed him to retain both his WBC Continental Americas and WBA International super middleweight world titles. He was guaranteed a disclosed amount of $350,000 for the fight with Heffron. With the nature of his win and his undefeated record, it's safe to say that the Cameroonian-French boxer will receive a similar if not a higher amount in his fight this weekend.
As for Derevyanchenko, very little is known of his last fight purse, which was from a unanimous decision win over Vaughn Alexander last April. His highest-profiled bout, a well-fought unanimous decision loss to Gennady Golovkin in 2019, earned the Ukrainian a disclosed $500,000 along with 45% of the PPV share. Derevyanchenko went 2-3 in his next five bouts after Golovkin, which may significantly affect his purse against Mbilli.

One thing of note is that Mbilli's last opponent, Heffron, received a guaranteed $200,000. It might be safe to assume that his Ukrainian foe will receive a similar purse.
