Merab Dvalishvili's request that everyone refrain from criticizing Magdi Amachov for training with Umar Nurmagomedov has been positively received by MMA fans. Many expressed admiration for Dvalishvili, citing him as a great human being.
For context, Amachov trained with Umar Nurmagomedov before his title fight against Dvalishvili at UFC 311. Fans were outraged by the Dagestani fighter's link-up with Nurmagomedov after the reigning champion helped Amachov when he first came to America, accusing him of betrayal.
However, a video of Dvalishvili's encounter with Amachov after UFC 311 was recently posted on X by combat sports news outlet Spinnin Backfist, and his gesture toward the latter won everyone over. The post's caption read:
''Merab ran into Magdi last night and said he is a good guy that doesn’t deserve any hate for training with Umar before this fight. Magdi was given a place to stay with Merab when he first came to US. But he is originally from Dagestan.''

One fan praised Dvalishvili, writing:
''Merab is a class act outside the ring''
Another stated:
''Khabib called Magdi to come train. I feel for the kid cuz he’s Dagestani and looked up to khabib his whole life. Even if Merab did everything for you when they didn’t , I don’t think you say no if khabib calls. Real awkward situation. Merab is always game tho. Real one.''
Other fans wrote:
''Merab is the man for this''
''Merab is such a nice guy and a stark difference between him and his Georgian fans. I am glad he won too even though i am very bias towards Umar and other avar fighters. After that denial Islam and Umar made about Merab saying they’re not Russians I just can’t fully support them''
