Liam Harrison found himself in an uncomfortable situation after a football game featuring the Celtic Football Club, which could have gotten a lot uglier.
The ONE Muay Thai star shared the story on his podcast, Kickin' It With Liam Harrison, which was reposted to his Instagram page.

Fans then took to the comments to offer their condolences to the unaware football fans who dared to challenge a professional Muay Thai fighter:
"Would love to have seen a montage of Celtic fans just getting absolutely cooked with leg kicks 😂" [@mrguynorth]
"Either, they didn't know who Liam Harrison was, or they fxcking knew and was like "Fxck, we're gunna need 20 lads 😂" [@Itsnicksal]
"I’d sit and have a beer with you over literally any celebrity or professional athlete lol" [@thomas.aramis]
"Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Celtic fans." [@kintorekid355]
"Clearly never heard of the hit man or Andy bless em 👊😬" [@Nicklufcwilson89]
Fortunately, it sounds like there wasn’t too much fallout from the collision of forces, and hopefully, no one was seriously hurt.
Liam Harrison has legally dealt out plenty of damage in the ONE circle, however, and is on the mend from knee surgery before he can get back to fighting. The Englishman has finished both of his victories in the cage via first-round knockout, and fans are likely chomping at the bit to see his next assignment.
Liam Harrison demonstrates how to properly throw a left hook and highlights common mistakes
Beginner strikers can now throw a left hook the exact same way that Liam Harrison does it.
The ONE Muay Thai bantamweight fighter uploaded a video to his Instagram page demonstrating the subtle movements that generate maximum power from the kill shot.
Take a look below:
While the technique Harrison showed is similar to the punch in boxing, he highlighted that turning the lead leg inward too much while throwing the punch can leave the attacker open to leg kicks. A common tension with throwing the hook is generating power for a knockout while not letting the hand stray too far from the body, leaving the attacker open for counters.
Harrison is not only a competent striker but a lethal one as well. Both of his wins in the ONE circle have come by knockout from the hooks. He defeated both Muangthai PK.Saenchai and Mohammed Bin Mahmoud by knockout before challenging Nong-O Hama for the belt last summer.
The issues with his knee took Harrison out of proposed fights with Pongsiri PK.Saenchai and Floyd Mayweather, with his timetable for a return unknown.
