“Closer to the great war” - Johan Estupinan can’t wait to unleash his explosive flair in all-phenom showdown against Johan Ghazali

Johan Estupinan is counting down the days before he finally trades limb and leather with fellow phenom Johan Ghazali. The pair of rising stars will clash in a highly anticipated flyweight Muay Thai matchup at the stacked ONE 170 card on Jan. 24 at Impact Arena.

Taking to Instagram, Estupinan expressed his excitement heading into his showdown against Ghazali in Bangkok. He added that he wants nothing more than to prove why he's considered one of ONE Championship's best young stars of the current generation.

"I'm so happy, I'm getting closer to the great war. I love fighting and I'll prove it on January 24th at #ONE170," posted Johan Estupinan.

'Panda Kick' is undoubtedly one of the most exciting fighters on the planet, with an unorthodox fighting style never before seen in ONE Championship's annals.

Mixing Latin flair with traditional Thai striking, Estupinan captured the fans' imagination with his innovative style that has yet to be cracked. Estupinan is a perfect 4-0 in ONE Championship, 26-0 overall, with three wins coming via knockout.

The Colombian phenom owns knockout wins over Kouta Omori, Sean Climaco, and Zakaria El Jamari. His perfect run in ONE Championship, which started last year, also earned him the distinction as one of the promotion's Breakout Stars for 2024.

Estupinan now looks to maintain his perfect record when he faces an equally menacing Ghazali at ONE 170.

Ghazali holds a stellar 6-1 record in ONE Championship and has knockout wins over Padetsuk Fairtex, Tai Sor Jor Piek Uthai, Temirlan Bekmurzaev, Edgar Tabares, and Josue Cruz.

Johan Estupinan plans to carry Latin America in pivotal 2025 campaign

Johan Estupinan won't be carrying just the Colombian flag when he makes his walk to the cage at ONE 170. In a previous Instagram post, Estupinan thanked ONE Championship for naming him one of the Breakout Stars for 2024.

He added that he'll proudly carry the Latin American identity when he elevates his star power in 2025.
