Joe Rogan recently came under the microscope during a CNN panel discussion over his socio-political opinions. While one panelist accused the UFC commentator of shifting to the political right for monetary gain, another panelist defended him for standing on his beliefs.
During the panel discussion, podcast host and commentator Coleman Hughes outlined how Rogan has always held firm left-wing opinions on social issues and has previously supported progressive politician Bernie Sanders. Theorizing that Rogan was ultimately driven rightward by the liberals over a period of time, Hughes said:
"A decade ago, Joe Rogan was a Bernie Sanders supporter who would get emotional talking about how important it is to legalize marijuana, who would get emotional talking about how important it is to get Christianity out of politics, in particular on the abortion issue, who had a host of left-wing opinions, including about healthcare. And liberals drove him away by calling him a racist, unearthing jokes he made, calling him a misogynist—really, with no evidence.”
Another panelist, Democrat strategist Ameshia Cross, then issued a response to Hughes and opined that Rogan's Republican shift was nothing but a financial career decision. She said:

"He's [Rogan] a lot smarter than people give him credit for... He was a proud ultra-leftist, and now he's a proud person on the right largely because he saw shifting towards the right, and that’s where his money and his audience could come from. That’s consumerism at work.”
Joe Rogan puts Joe Biden on blast for allegedly escalating Russia-Ukraine war
Joe Rogan recently sounded off on POTUS Joe Biden for seemingly paving the way for the Russia-Ukraine conflict to escalate out of control. Biden notably authorized Ukraine to use the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) against specific targets in Russia.
While Biden's decision was welcomed by some, Rogan joined the critics and slammed the POTUS for leaving behind a mess for Donald Trump to clean up after he takes office in January. He said:
"'Right now, they are launching missles into Russia. How are you allowed to do that when you're on the way out? The people don't want you to be there anymore. There should be some sort of pause for significant actions that could potentially start World War III. Maybe that would be a good thing that we would like to avoid from a dying former president. The whole thing is nuts.
Rogan continued:
''Zelensky says Putin is terrified. F**k you, man. F**k you people. You f***ing people are about to start World War III...We voted Trump in and his idea to stop all this... hopefully he can do that.''
