Colby Covington reacted to the viral video of Khabib Nurmagomedov getting kicked off of an Alaska Airlines plane.
A video of Nurmagomedov has recently emerged on social media, sparking controversy due to racial profiling accusations toward him. In the footage, the former UFC lightweight champion was seen arguing with an Alaska Airlines flight attendant about being forced to change seats on the plane.
The flight attendant offered Nurmagomedov two options - change seats or leave before the scheduled takeoff. Nurmagomedov decided to depart from the plane.
Most fans took the alleged racial profiling as a serious situation. Meanwhile, UFC welterweight Colby Covington responded to the video on X by mocking Khabib Nurmagomedov's well-known accent and dialogue:

"Bratha why you fly the coach and the Alaska airlines bratha!?"
The situation with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Alaska Airlines is developing and the MMA legend hasn't released an official statement. There's also a different perspective outside of racial profiling because Nurmagomedov was sitting in an exit row, requiring added responsibility in case of an emergency.

Colby Covington plans to "shock the world" by becoming UFC welterweight champion
In December 2024, Colby Covington ended the calendar year with a third-round TKO loss (doctor's stoppage) against Joaquin Buckley. Covington's latest defeat was his second in a row, with the other being a unanimous decision against Leon Edwards for the UFC welterweight title in December 2023.
Earlier this week, Covington posted a video confirming his continued desire to become a UFC world champion:
“I'm going to do the unthinkable. I'm going to shock the world. DC was a champion at 41. I’m only 36 years young. No reason I can't be champion. Belal Muhammad, whatever the race is, I can easily beat him."
Covington followed up by saying:
"That’s a good matchup, he’s not gonna take me down, he's not going to outwrestle me. F*ck that. I will smack that dude silly. I don't know if anyone knows who he is, but they're going to know once he's in my highlight reel after I'm done with him."
Colby Covington's loss against Buckley pushed him down to No. 9 in the UFC welterweight division's rankings. The 36-year-old's last win was a one-sided unanimous decision against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272 in March 2022.
