Thai striking sensation Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom is fired up and ready to return to the spotlight after a substantial amount of time away from the ring.

At just 23 years old, 'The Queen' has the world at her feet after what she has accomplished under the ONE Championship banner.

Having debuted in the promotion in 2023, she produced one of the quickest rises to the very top that we have seen from any competitor. It was immediately clear that she was a cut above and that continued to be the case with each step-up in competition.

This led her to the ONE atomweight kickboxing world championship where after winning the interim title, she unified the belts against Janet Todd in her last outing at ONE Fight Night 20 last year. Having stayed ready since that bout, she's motivated to make her return to remind everyone what she is capable of after tearing through elite opposition in the past.

Whilst in attendance at Lumpinee Stadium this past weekend, Phetjeeja told Nick Atkin about her plans for the near future:

"Actually, I've [been] ready to fight all the time. But, coming soon, I will come back surely. 100 percent."

Phetjeeja has big plans for her return

Phetjeeja is not the kind of competitor who is satisfied after reaching the pinnacle of kickboxing. The young star is hungry for more and wants to seek out the biggest and best challenges that are out there for her.

In particular, she dreams of becoming a two-sport world champion in the atomweight division by making the transition to the weight bracket's Muay Thai roster. That world title is currently held by another top competitor in the promotion, Brazil's Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.

Given both women's penchant for producing fireworks, a fight between the two world champions would be an absolute gem in 2025.
