He may be young, but Adrian Lee is already showing a level of maturity rarely seen in the older veterans of the sport.
The 18-year-old phenom plans to show that composure when he takes on Nico Cornejo in his second appearance for ONE Championship at ONE 168: Denver on September 6 at Ball Arena.
Lee will face Cornejo in a lightweight MMA contest in ONE Championship's second live event in the United States.
In an interview with Cageside Press, Lee said he never got overwhelmed with excitement when he submitted Antonio Mammarella in his ONE Championship debut at ONE 167.

Adrian Lee, the youngest of the famed Lee siblings, said he was aware that he felt a level of excitement when he made the walk to the circle against Mammarella at Impact Arena.
That all changed, however, when the cage door finally closed. He plans to do the same against Cornejo in Denver.
He said:
"I don't think there was any point where I lost my emotions or control. I think composure is a pretty big thing I plan to keep in my arsenal for this fight and the rest of my fights."
Lee is the youngest brother of inaugural ONE women's atomweight MMA world champion Angela Lee and reigning ONE lightweight and welterweight MMA world champion Christian Lee.
Despite the lofty precedent his older siblings set for him, Lee remains steadfast in his young career.
It's still too close to call whether Lee will one day compete for a ONE world title, but a win against Cornejo will certainly put him on the right track for that conversation.

Adrian Lee promises another finish when he takes on Nico Cornejo
Just as he did against Antonio Mammarella in his debut, Adrian Lee plans to chalk up another finish when he squares off against Nico Cornejo.
Lee displayed the same unrelenting aggression that his older brother Christian often relied on in ONE Championship, and it's expected he'll do the same against Cornejo at ONE 168.
In the same interview with Cageside Press, Lee said he wants to score either a knockout or a submission finish in his second match in ONE Championship:
"You guys can expect another finish. I plan to do it in the first round, but whenever it comes, it comes."
