Conor Benn has finally returned to the WBC welterweight rankings.
'The Destroyer' recently cleared up his doping scandal with the council. Last October, just days before his clash with Chris Eubank Jr., Benn tested positive for Clomifene. The drug is typically used by athletes to mask prior steroid use in men.
Following the positive test, the welterweight was suspended by the BBBoC as well as the WBC. For their part, the former has declined to clear Benn. They've stated that they would need additional information to do so and that he's failed to give them that.
That being said, Conor Benn has decided that fighting in the U.K. isn't a high priority for him, and has revealed his plans to fight outside the country. With his boxing career back on track, he's also now gotten yet another big boost.

Just weeks after clearing the Brit, he's returned to the welterweight rankings at number seven. Benn's return to the rankings was previously announced by the WBC after they stated his positive test was due to high consumption of eggs.

Who will Conor Benn fight in his return?
Conor Benn is already in-talks to face Manny Pacquiao in a return in June.
'PacMan' retired from the sport of boxing following a decision defeat to Yordenis Ugas in August 2021. The legend stated that he planned to run for president of the Philippines, his home country, where he's been a senator for years.
The 44-year-old wound up losing in a landslide in the general election, and seemingly began targeting a return to the ring. Last December, Pacquiao returned to the ring to face DK Yoo, a Korean martial artist, in an exhibition matchup.
Many felt that the fight was a bit of a warm-up of sorts for the former champion, and they wound up being correct. Pacquiao's manager, Sean Gibbons, recently stated that the former champion was eyeing a return against Conor Benn on June 5th. Furthermore, the bout will be held in Abu Dhabi.
ESPN asked Eddie Hearn for comment on the fight. Benn's promoter confirmed they were interested, and that the matchup was nearly finalized. He stated:
"We are in the process of selecting Conor Benn's next opponent and have been in active talks with Manny Pacquiao's team. We have had multiple site offers to stage the event and are looking to make an official announcement on Conor's next fight as early as next week."
