Despite BKFC partial owner Conor McGregor previously claiming he was dismissed following a boxing defeat to Jake Paul, it appears Mike Perry's return to bare-knuckle fighting might be happening sooner than expected. The buzz around Perry's comeback opponent is heavily focused on Robbie Lawler.

This speculation stems from Perry calling out 'Ruthless' during an in-ring address while Lawler was present at BKFC's final event of 2024.

During his appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, BKFC head Dave Feldman discussed with the host what the future holds for 'Platinum' Perry in bare-knuckle fighting. Sharing insights about the former UFC welterweight champion's potential match against Perry in bare-knuckle, Feldman said:

"We're working on it... We are working on it with the UFC... That's a sick fight, right?... I'll know in two weeks and if it doesn't happen then, then it will be someone else and then possibly him. But a lot of people are calling out Mike Perry now. It was really because; this is actually the good thing about the Jake Paul fight because now everybody wants to fight him.

"Nobody wanted to fight him like they were scared to death of him. But they're forgetting that this is still bare-knuckle, it's not boxing. They're not going to box Mike Perry. They're going to fight Mike Perry and that's the difference."
