While it seems the majority of the MMA world doesn't believe Paddy Pimblett won his fight at UFC 282, Conor McGregor has now given his input, congratulating the Brit for doing "all the right things."
'The Baddy' has supported the Irishman in the past. He has also, on multiple occasions, welcomed the idea of a potential blockbuster fight with McGregor.
Although they're different, the two polarizing figures share similarities and have used them to their advantage to become stars in the sport.
In a post on social media, Conor McGregor extended his congratulations to Paddy Pimblett despite the controversy that surrounded the Scouser's win against Jared Gordon on Saturday:

"Congrats Paddy 'The Baddy' this weekend. Doing all the right things despite what you’d think. Great stuff. Onward."
McGregor has publicly praised the Liverpool resident numerous times and is a fan of the 155er's good friend and long-term training partner Molly McCann. He even FaceTime'd the pair while they were visiting his 'Black Forge Inn pub' in Dublin, which is owned by McGregor.
Regardless of the questionable win, Paddy Pimblett has now improved to 4-0 in the UFC, meaning it shouldn't be too long until we see the well-rounded fighter pitted against a ranked opponent.
With title aspirations in mind, the 28-year-old could arguably be facing a top 15 fighter next time out. However, in arguably the toughest weight class in the sport—there will be no easy matchups going forward.
Conor McGregor's presence on social media
Despite fighting just four times in the past six years, Conor McGregor has sustained his status as the biggest star in the sport of mixed martial arts, but how does he remain relevant?
'The Notorious' does a great job at promoting the UFC on his Twitter page, often finding time to either praise or criticize what he sees during the often weekly events hosted by the company.
Getting into feuds on social media is another reason McGregor's name constantly finds itself in the headlines. The former two-division UFC champion can be seen going back and forth with another fighter or celebrity quite frequently.
To his 46+ million followers on Instagram, the superstar shows-off his lavish lifestyle, multitude of businesses, and best moments inside the octagon to keep fans engaged, which is why he is arguably the best in the game at self-promoting.
