McGregor shares a notable history with both of the headliners at BKFC Knucklemania V. At UFC 205 in November 2016, 'The Notorious' secured a knockout victory over Alvarez, making history as the first fighter to hold two UFC titles simultaneously.
On the other hand, two days prior to that fight, McGregor had a memorable encounter with Stephens at a press conference, where he famously said, "Who the f**k is that guy?"—a line that would go on to become one of his iconic catchphrases.
Conor McGregor shares excitement for Eddie Alvarez vs. Jeremy Stephens clash
In a recent conversation with The Schmo, Conor McGregor shared his thoughts on the main event of BKFC KnuckleMania V between Eddie Alvarez and Jeremy Stephens.
McGregor conveyed his enthusiasm for the matchup and emphasized that both fighters are set to put on a show that will undoubtedly leave the fans on the edge of their seats:
"That's an incredible fight... They're both experienced competitors, but Eddie is much more established. He's a former UFC world champion, he's the former Bellator world champion, and now he's looking to become a bare-knuckle world champion. There's nobody in combat sports who has achieved that feat, and I'd love to see him do it."
He added:
"However, he faces an absolute pitbull in Jeremy Stephens, and I have maximum respect for both men. These boys are going to bust each other for the beautiful people of Philadelphia."
