UFC rivals Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler stand united in their support for Donald Trump. The 78-year-old former US president was recently shot at during a rally in Pennsylvania and had to be rushed off stage with blood visible on his face. Reports state that he is receiving medical treatment. The suspect in the incident and one more person are reported dead.

Trump finds massive support among the MMA community and shares a cordial relationship with many UFC fighters. Dana White and fighters like Jorge Masvidal, Colby Covington, and Sean Strickland were among the prominent UFC personalities who immediately extended their support to Trump.

McGregor, who was forced to pull out of his UFC 303 fight against Chandler, took to X and praised Trump:

"A 78-year-old multiple billionaire, he should be on a yacht on the med touring golf courses. But he is not. He is in Pennsylvania spitting out bullets! Running for the love of his country! God speed Donald! God bless the United States."

While Chandler has taken stinging verbal jabs at McGregor during the build-up of their fight, he shared a rare moment of amity and replied:

"We stand united on this one… @TheNotoriousMMA."

McGregor then replied to Chandler, who has waited for nearly two years for the bout, and dropped a hint about the potential new date of their fight:

"I talked to Dana today about our new date, all looking good! 24’ for sure."

Chandler replied with a fist bump and shake-hands emojis to conclude the interaction.

After McGregor was forced to withdraw from the Chandler fight, no new date has been announced.

In the meantime, it was speculated that the Irishman could be a great addition to the Riyadh Season Noche UFC event in September. It will be the first combat sports event to take place at the Las Vegas Sphere. While McGregor assured Chandler about a 2024 meeting, it is not clear if the duo will fight at Noche UFC.
