UFC's cult show 'The Ultimate Fighter' (TUF) has found its coaches for the 33rd season in veterans Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen. The two retired athletes will compete against each other with their teams, but unlike the majority of the seasons, Cormier and Sonnen will not fight each other in the octagon after the end of the show.
The announcement was made during the live telecast of the UFC 311 card, which is currently in progress at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. Several MMA fans took notice of the announcement and shared their reactions on social media.
One individual claimed that Irish superstar Conor McGregor had "ruined" the concept of a fight between the two TUF coaches.

"Conor McGregor really ruined the whole coaches fighting thing."
McGregor has acted as a coach on two TUF seasons, once against Urijah Faber and then against Michael Chandler. McGregor and Faber never faced off inside the octagon. A fight between 'The Notorious' and Chandler was scheduled last year but it did not come to fruition.
Another person argued that the next season might not be as entertaining as Cormier and Sonnen don't have animosity toward each other.
"The vibe might [be] off since the coaches don't hate each other and don't have to fight at the end of the season."
One user shared a different opinion, saying the choice of 'DC' and Sonnen as coaches was "super necessary."
"This is what the people need. It's super necessary."
A fan stated that Cormier and 'The American Gangster' might be the reason they start watching the show again.
"Looks like Imma start watching TUF again. Thank God for this..."
