Conor McGregor will make his first foray into Hollywood with a role in a remake of the Patrick Swayze-starring 1989 classic, 'Road House'. McGregor will be joined by Jake Gyllenhaal, who will play the movie's protagonist.

The Irish superstar has been out of action since suffering a leg fracture in July 2021 during his fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. However, McGregor has not been idle outside the octagon and has been heavily involved in the production process of the film.

According to reports, Gyllenhaal plays the main character in 'Road House', as a former UFC fighter who becomes a bouncer in a Florida Keys bar. While McGregor's role is still unknown, it is reported that he will play an original character.

It is widely speculated that 'Notorious' was cast in the role of 'Jimmy Reno', played by Marshall Teague in the original, as the right-hand henchman of the movie's antagonist.
