Conor McGregor continues to tease an exhibition boxing match with Logan Paul. Unfortunately, his latest attempts at generating hype for the bout, which is yet to be made official, has not received the kind of universal approval from the combat sports fanbase that he is accustomed to.
The Irishman took to X/Twitter to issue a curious tweet, hinting at the jaw-dropping purse he will reportedly earn for facing Paul. Additionally, he also attached a picture of his opponent in WWE gear and included an Indian flag in the caption of his post.

The Irishman recently reacted to a tweet reporting that he will indeed earn $250,000,000 for boxing Paul, who was also said to be earning the same amount. Moreover, the bout is expected to take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India at the request of the billioniare Ambani family.
However, no official date has been offered, with negotiations likely still afoot. Given McGregor's tendency to delete his tweets, a screenshot of his recent post can be seen below:
Fans were not overly receptive to the idea of the ex-UFC two-division champion taking on an influencer boxer like Paul in an exhibition bout. One fan even claimed to be disinterested.
"It pains me to say this, but we do not care"
Another fan claimed that he could no longer support McGregor as a fan.
"This really is the final nail in the coffin for me as a fight fan of Conor McGregor"
Others, though, were more supportive.
"Can't wait to witness the GOAT"
This more positive sentiment was echoed by more fans.
"I'll be there no matter what"

McGregor previously expressed derision for the influencer boxing world, but seems to have become more receptive to it with time.
Conor McGregor hasn't fought since 2021
In six months, it'll be four years since Conor McGregor last competed in any combat sport. At UFC 264, he took on then heated rival Dustin Poirier. After an initial onslaught from 'The Diamond,' the Irishman threw a front kick, but his shin is believed to have smashed into Poirier's elbow.
Upon retracting his leg, McGregor's shin snapped and he collapsed. Poirier won via TKO due to a doctor stoppage, and McGregor hasn't set foot inside the octagon since, despite the UFC's best attempts to do so.
