Conor McGregor recently gave a hint at the confirmation of his boxing match against Logan Paul. McGregor also signaled at how much money each fighter would pocket along with revealing the possible venue in India.

The final combat sports affair McGregor competed in was his UFC 264 fight against Dustin Poirier. A gruesome shin-bone injury in the first round of the fight sidelined him from competition for an unprecedented amount of time. He hasn't returned to competing in combat sports since then.

The closest McGregor came to making his comeback was in June 2024, when the UFC brass announced that he would be returning to face Michael Chandler at the main event of UFC 303. But McGregor pulled out of the fight because of a toe injury.

McGregor recently reposted @emmettglenn's X update which mentioned that the McGregor vs. Paul encounter had been set for Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India. It also detailed that Paul and McGregor both may pocket "$250M" each from the fight. The 36-year-old reposted it with a caption to display his love for India.

Who is behind the possible materialization of Conor McGregor vs. Logan Paul fight

Despite Conor McGregor's indication about the confirmation of his fight against Jake Paul, the combat sports community is yet to hear an official announcement. The reported "$250M" fight purses for each fighter are also considerably higher than what most boxers make from their fights.

McGregor and Paul's reportedly insane fight purses indicate the involvement of a big-money individual behind their encounter. It's none other than the Indian business tycoon, Mukesh Ambani.

The 67-year-old Mumbai-based man currently holds the ninth spot in the list of the world's richest persons with a total net worth of about $120 billion. Reports also say that his younger son, Anant Ambani, is the primary force behind the possible materialization of the fight.
