Conor McGregor reacted to the reports of Israel and Hamas cease-fire deal being reached soon. Israel and Hamas have been in armed conflict since October 2023, when Hamas launched a large-scale attack on Israel, prompting a significant military response from Israel in Gaza.

Recently, reports suggested that officials from both Hamas and Israel had agreed to a ceasefire. The Spectator Index shared this news on X, which caught the attention of the Irish superstar. He reshared the tweet and expressed his hope for peace in the world, writing:

“Peace in the World, please God!.”

‘The Notorious’ has been out of action since his last fight against Dustin Poirier in their trilogy bout at UFC 264 in July 2021. McGregor suffered a leg injury in the first round and lost the bout via KO/TKO. Since then, he has not appeared in the octagon.

However, the Irish fighter was scheduled to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303, but he withdrew due to a toe injury just weeks before the bout.

Chael Sonnen claims Conor McGregor's career ended after he pulled of UFC 303 fight

UFC veteran Chael Sonnen believes that Conor McGregor’s scheduled bout at UFC 303 was his last chance to make his highly anticipated return to the octagon. He also claimed that fans will never get to see McGregor versus Michael Chandler.

Speaking on ESPN's Good Guy/Bad Guy with Daniel Cormier, Sonnen asserted that there are no chances of the Irish fighter’s return at this point, saying:

"No, I'm not going to be foolish enough to believe that we can get that fight [between McGregor and Chandler] to the ring for Chandler or for anybody else for Conor sadly. The sport is more fun when Conor's around, but no, we can't get him in the ring."

He continued:

"Zero [percent chance], Conor will not fight again. When Conor pulled out of the fight with Chandler, it was akin to saying, 'I'm retired.' Whether he knows it or not, his career ended that moment."

McGregor has been teasing his return but not in the UFC octagon. Instead, he hinted at a potential exhibition boxing match in India, suggesting that the Ambani family is involved in organizing the fight.
