Conor McGregor has shared his reaction to Crystal Mangum's recent admission, which saw the convicted murderer confess to lying about being raped during a recent interview.
Mangum is currently serving 14-18 years in prison, after being charged with second-degree murder in 2013. She was found guilty of stabbing and killing her boyfriend, Reginald Daye, in 2011. Mangum had also previously been charged with attempted murder a few years prior.
Back in 2006, however, Crystal Mangum made worldwide news when she was working as a stripper. She had been hired for a party for the Duke University men's lacrosse team and later made false allegations of rape by three players.
Despite the case being dropped entirely in 2007 due to a lack of evidence, Mangum had maintained her accusations until this week, when she admitted to have fabricated the assault.

McGregor then took to X to Mangum's recent admission, suggesting that her lying about the assault had become an "epidemic" amongst similar cases. He wrote:
"It is an epidemic of sickness!"
Whilst Conor McGregor didn't mention himself specifically, it's likely he was referring to his own legal issues. The Irishman was recently found liable for a 2018 assault against Nikita Hand and ordered to pay $250,000 in damages.
She claimed McGregor had forced himself on her, whereas he argued his actions were consensual. Despite being found guilty, 'The Notorious' has maintained his innocence and promised to appeal the court's decision.
Conor McGregor reflects on 9th anniversary of historic title win
Conor McGregor recently reflected on the ninth anniversary of his featherweight title win over Jose Aldo.
The Irishman faced off against the Brazilian in the main event of UFC 194. Aldo, who hadn't lost a professional bout for over 10 years, was then expected to be the toughest test of McGregor's career. 'The Notorious', however, had read a different script and knocked out Aldo in just 13 seconds to win the title.
Their bout is now considered to be the catalyst for Conor McGregor's rise to stardom as well as one of the most important bouts in the promotion's history. The Dublin native then took to X to reflect on his win, tweeting:
"Happy Conor McGregor day folks! The Twelfth of the Twelfth, 12/12, the day I unified UFC gold for my Ireland in record breaking fashion. 12 second KO! Sláinte🍀"
