Conor McGregor made massive waves with his acting debut in the remake of 'Road House' and he is teasing his return to the big screen in a sequel affair for the franchise. The former champ-champ did this recently on his Instagram page when he shared a post to his story that saw him photographed with 'Road House' co-star Jake Gyllenhaal from the account @mcgregor_millionaire_.

In the reposted photo to his story, McGregor posted corresponding text which succinctly posed a question and teased:

"Roadhouse 2?"

Gyllenhaal played ex-UFC combatant Elwood Dalton and McGregor was positioned in the role of a mercenary known as Knox who was sent to wipe out Dalton.

The way McGregor's character was positioned at the end of the film does give some sort of wiggle room for him to make a Hollywood return in the next permutation of the 'Road House' series.

Conor McGregor and his success in the 'Road House' remake

Although this follow-up film has been greenlit since May, there hasn't really been much public discourse about whether or not Conor McGregor would be involved in this project.

'The Notorious' earned roundly positive reviews for his first foray into the acting world with many seeing him as a standout performer in the cinematic effort.

The Dublin native certainly played a part in boosting the remake of the 1989 action flick into generating massive numbers for the platform that showcased the picture. Prime Video was said to have accumulated a record 80 million streams between the March 21 release and mid-May when talks of 'Road House 2' received the thumbs up.

The 36-year-old claimed he earned the highest payout that a debut actor has ever received and based on these reported viewership metrics, McGregor would stand to garner a lot more in a potential sequel appearance.

During the oft-referenced mid-May point, McGregor stated he hasn't had any dialogue with anyone involved in the sequel project about reprising his role but time will tell what pans out there.

Currently, McGregor seems to be focused on getting back to the world of real fighting after a scrapped UFC 303 fight versus Michael Chandler had many questioning if he would ever return.

The June 29 welterweight bout was postponed after the Irish superstar suffered an injured toe. But the rescheduling of the bout is in the works with Conor McGregor seemingly confident it can happen before the calendar year is out.
