"Continue to work my way up the ladder" - Danial Williams wants to continue taking 'one step at a time' if he beats Thongpoon

Danial Williams isn't looking to get carried away with what a win in his next outing could mean for him.

The striker's exciting fighting style means that he's never too far away from big fights and that shows when looking at his run in ONE Championship.

'Mini T' has faced off with some of the best in the world and though he's spent a lot of time competing in MMA, he's back in Muay Thai for his return on December 6.

At ONE Fight Night 26 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, he will take on Thongpoon PK Saenchai, who has also developed a reputation as an all-action competitor.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Danial Williams was asked about what getting his hand raised could lead to.

For him, his only focus is on securing that win and following down that path rather than having some big end goal in mind for the near future:

"If I get the win here, I want to continue to work my way up the ladder. One step at a time, really. Not looking too far ahead. Just trying to evolve, get the better fights, test myself against better fighters, and stuff."

That's exactly what he'll look to do in his return to Muay Thai on Dec. 6 where he knows that a dangerous opponent awaits him.
