After Aljamain Sterling praised Jake Paul for his win over former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, Paul expressed his desire to work with the reigning bantamweight champion.

Jake Paul defeated Anderson Silva in an eight-round boxing match via unanimous decision this past weekend. The result led to Aljamain Sterling tweeting out his appreciation for 'The Problem Child'.

'Funkmaster', who recently beat T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 280 to retain his bantamweight belt, credited both Jake Paul and Anderson Silva for putting up an entertaining fight.

"I'm actually blown away by @jakepaul performance against a GOAT of MMA. Despite the age difference, Jake showed that he can legit box. Fun boxing scrap. Silva can still heat as well!"

Responding to Sterling's tweet, Paul reacted with a message of appreciation back while calling for Sterling to discuss his plans to form a fighters union, called the "United Fighters Association."

His tweet asked for Sterling's help and leadership towards his cause:

"Appreciate you champ. We will be reaching out to you to discuss the United Fighters Association. We could use your help and leadership."

It is no secret that Jake Paul has been vocally advocating for better fighter pay and long-term health benefits for UFC fighters.

His public criticism of UFC president Dana White regarding fighter pay has been a recurring topic of discussion in the MMA community, with Paul reiterating his plans to form a union for fighters at his recent post-event press conference.

Jake Paul wins bet against Anderson Silva

Ahead of their scheduled boxing match, Paul and Silva agreed to a bet proposed by the former.

The 25-year-old wagered that if 'The Spider' won, he would rematch him inside the octagon. If he lost to Paul, the stipulation was that the pair would come together to form the "United Fighters Association," with the 47-year-old even being offered the post of interim president.

Paul is no stranger to making bets before his fights. He previously made a bet with Tyron Woodley before their boxing match, with the loser agreeing to get a permanent tattoo.

During his pre-fight presser with Anderson Silva, 'The Problem Child' remained very calm and respectful towards his opponent. While proposing the bet, the Cleaveland native stated:

"But if I win, me and you come together to create a United Fighters' Association to help UFC fighters get better pay and better healthcare. You become the interim president. We unite to help these fighters once and for all."

With Jake Paul winning the boxing match, it remains to be seen whether Silva will keep his terms and join hands with the younger Paul brother.
