Belal Muhammad recently spoke about running into Leon Edwards in an elevator ahead of their welterweight title clash at UFC 304 in Manchester, England. While 'Remember The Name' alleged that Edwards was afraid of him, recently released footage of their brief face-to-face encounter appears to tell a different story.

Muhammad and Edwards are set to run it back for the welterweight strap this weekend. They previously shared the octagon at UFC Vegas 21 in March 2021. The fight ended in a no-contest after Muhammad was unable to continue after getting eye-poked in the second round.

During a recent interview, Muhammad outlined how Edwards looked "afraid" during their elevator encounter. However, the latest episode of the UFC Embedded vlog series uploaded on YouTube paints a different picture.

In a clip shared by @acdmma_ on X, Muhammad could be seen looking nervous after Edwards and his team entered the elevator, and fans were quick to point that out in the post's comments section.

Leon Edwards shares his side of Belal Muhammad elevator encounter story

Leon Edwards recently opened up about running into Belal Muhammad in an elevator. The two MMA stars are set to throw down at UFC 304, and it's no secret that there's no love lost between them. Over the past few months, Edwards and Muhammad have been trading verbal shots on social media and in interviews.

During a recent UFC 304 media day presser, Edwards was asked about Muhammad accusing him of cowardly behavior during their run-in. The Englishman shared his side of the story and said:

"I was going up to floor three, [the elevator] opened, and he was standing right there in front, and I think he thought in his head that I wouldn't have come into the lift. So, I walked straight into the lift and said, 'press number three', and that was it."

Edwards continued:

"We came out, and it's weird because in the lift, he was mad quiet. Then, after the lift opened and everyone was outside, he's like, 'Oh, p**sy, blah, blah, blah. It's like, bro, why didn't you say all this in the lift? We were just in the lift. You know what I mean?"
