Craig Jones recently sent MMA fans into a frenzy with his antics during a pre-fight staredown with Gabi Garcia. After Jones sneaked a surprise kiss during their faceoff, Garcia chastised him for crossing the line and threatened to leave their highly anticipated BJJ matchup.

Jones is set to face the four-time ADCC gold medalist and six-time IBJJF world champion in a unique intergender jiu-jitsu match at the Craig Jones Invitational (CJI) tournament this weekend. While Garcia has teased the idea of going up against a man in the past, this will be her first opportunity.

During a recent staredown before their match, Jones unexpectedly kissed Garcia before being promptly pushed and chased away. Garcia seemed upset about his actions and said:

"B**ch, man. Craig, really? F**k you, man. You crossed the line. You crossed the line."

Gabi Garcia confident about beating Craig Jones in their upcoming CJI matchup

Gabi Garcia recently shared her thoughts on fighting Craig Jones in a BJJ matchup this weekend and expressed her confidence about getting the win. Garcia is widely known as one of the most accomplished female BJJ athletes and understands the entertainment value of going up against a man.

Nevertheless, she's confident of getting her hand raised despite knowing that men are generally stronger than women. During a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Garcia outlined her plans to win and said:

"I’ve trained with Craig a few times and he hasn’t submitted me... And I’ve told him already, ‘Craig, I have no responsibilities here. I’m going there to beat you and shock the world.’ But the reality is that men are stronger... But I’ll fight as I was taught by my master. Unlike the way Americans grapple, jiu-jitsu was made for us to dominate the opponent."

Garcia continued:

There’s nothing an opponent can do with me on the mount, he’s completely dominated. I’ll go like a snake, slowly move to get the position and not let him escape. It’s hard to catch him, but I’ll give him a hard time. He’s saying he’ll secure the submission and let me go. That won’t happen, honey. I’ll smash you." [H/t: MMA Fighting]
