Craig Jones recently linked Michael Chandler to his trip to the Serengeti in Tanzania, surprising numerous MMA fans.

Apart from his fights, Chandler has also been spotted enjoying UFC events from the audience seats. The Missouri native often brings out his family consisting of his wife and two adopted kids for such ventures.

However, Chandler's adopted kids were the primary reason behind Jones linking him to his recent trip to the Serengeti, a protected area in Tanzania. The caption to Jones' Instagram post showcasing his trip read:

"Like a young Michael Chandler parading the Serengeti"

Jones' witty act had fans expressing their thoughts in the comments section of the post. They had a plethora of things to say.

Chandler hasn't been able to showcase his dominance inside the octagon much since he entered the UFC. 'Iron' currently holds a record of 2-4 in the six UFC fights of his career so far. But his all-brawl and entertaining style of fighting has made him one of the most well-known fighters in the current UFC roster.

Michael Chandler still holds a record in Bellator MMA despite the promotion going out of business

Michael Chandler gained prominence in the MMA community during his time in Bellator. However, the PFL acquired Bellator in 2023, and the promotion had its final event on 14 Sep. 2024.

Chandler bagged the Bellator lightweight championship for the first time in 2011 with a victory against Eddie Alvarez. But he couldn't hold onto the title for long as he lost it to Alvarez after two successful title defenses. Chandler claimed the same title two more times but couldn't hold onto it for long.

He lost the title to Brent Primus the second time and was dethroned by Patricio Pitbull from his third title reign. Due to these defeats, 'Iron' holds the rather undesirable record of losing the most title fights in Bellator. The promotion's absorption into PFL suggests Chandler will probably have to bear this untoward record forever.
