Dana White's speech regarding Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention (RNC) has seemingly earned him praise from many. White introduced former President of the United States (POTUS) Trump at the political event on July 18, 2024.

Taking to the dais, White greeted everyone and introduced himself as the Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) CEO and president. He recalled Trump calling him a couple of weeks back to speak at the RNC. White noted that as always, there was no pressure or demand to comply.

The UFC boss noted that he was called as a friend and signaled that he was honored to speak at the event. Per White, Trump then expressed his gratitude via a text message. White read a part of it out loud to the audience and suggested that the former president thanked him for taking time out from a family trip to attend the RNC and help save America and the world.

White indicated that Trump's running for president and attempting to save their nation but is also concerned about his family trip. He underscored that this is how considerate the 78-year-old politician truly is. The UFC head honcho cited their 25-year friendship, while endorsing Trump for POTUS in 2024. He stated:

"I just wanna make something very clear. Nobody in the Trump campaign has ever told me what to say. Nobody tells me what to say. And I'm nobody's puppet. And I'm not telling you what to think. I'm telling you what I know. And I know President Trump."

Fight fans soon chimed in on Dana White endorsing Donald Trump at the RNC. He'd spoken about Trump at the RNC for the 2016 presidential elections and supported him in the 2020 elections too. Reacting to his 2024 RNC appearance, many netizens lauded White for his passionate speech.

Nevertheless, some jibed by alluding to White's altercation with his wife at a New Year's Eve party in 2023. One X user implied that Trump and Co. ought to take themselves more seriously rather than have non-politicians like White and WWE legend Hulk Hogan speak at the RNC platform.

Others appreciated Dana White for being "wholesome" and "awesome." One X user noted what White has often acknowledged, which is that Trump supported him and the UFC back in the day when the promotion and the sport of MMA weren't as mainstream. Another fan admired White and tweeted:

"I've always been #maga but damn that gave me chills"

Dana White on Donald Trump surviving an assassination attempt

Donald Trump was grazed by a bullet to the ear at a political rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, USA, earlier this month. Trump rose to his feet after being struck and urged people to "Fight!" The US Secret Service later confirmed that the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was immediately killed by them in retaliatory gunfire.

On The Pat McAfee Show, Dana White subsequently deemed Trump a bonafide tough guy who proved his mettle during considerably challenging circumstances. He had a lengthy phone conversation with Trump after the attempted assassination. Underscoring the longtime fight fan and veteran businessperson's resilience, White asserted:

"This guy is the legitimate, ultimate American bada** of all time."
