"Dana might kick him out the UFC" - Fans react to claims of Merab Dvalishvili allegedly catching a staph infection before Noche UFC 306 fight

Rumors regarding UFC bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishvili's health ahead of Noche UFC 306 have been doing the rounds on social media. It all started when a prominent MMA acount named @Home_of_Fight uploaded a picture of Dvalishvili to their X account.

In the picture, 'The Machine' had a visible scar on his arm, and the account suggested that he could have potentially contracted a staph infection.

It must be noted that these are just allegations at the moment and the account has since deleted their post. Before the post was removed, however, MMA fans took to the comments section to speculate on what would happen if he did indeed contract a staph infection.

They added comments like:

"Dana might kick him out the UFC."

"100% gonna be his excuse if he loses."

"Bet the fawking house on [Sean] O'Malley."

Merab Dvalishvili's incredible UFC run

Merab Dvalishvili's stint in the UFC has been nothing short of incredible. 'The Machine' joined the multi-billion dollar promotion after building a 7-2 record. The Georgian fighter's UFC journey started off on a rough note as he lost his first two fights.

Dvalishvili then turned things around and went on to build a 10-fight win streak. This impressive run included victories over some big names like John Dodson, Marlon Moraes, Jose Aldo, Petr Yan and Henry Cejudo, among others.

'The Machine' has now been matched up against Sean O'Malley for the bantamweight title. The two will headline the Noche UFC 306 event which will be held on Sept. 14 at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada.
